1. What is SurgConnect?
SurgConnect is a free web platform that connects patients with competent healthcare professionals in Colombia for safe aesthetic and functional surgeries. It aims to improve the quality of life for users and also provides external options for perioperative care and services in Colombia.

2. How do I register on the website?
To register, look for the "Register" button on the homepage. Click on that link and follow the instructions to complete the registration process, depending on whether you are a Patient or a Surgeon.

3. I forgot my password, how can I recover it?
Regardless of whether you have a profile as a Patient or a Surgeon, look for the "Forgot your password?" link or option near the login field. Click on that link and follow the instructions to reset your password.

4. How can I contact customer service?
You can do so in two ways:
- You will find a "Contact" link at the bottom of the website where you can write to us. This will be redirected to our team to provide you with a response as soon as possible.
- By writing directly to the official email address listed on our homepage.

5. Where can I find information about the website's policies?
At SurgConnect, we have three documents related to Privacy Policies and Terms and Conditions:

6. As a surgeon, what benefits do I have from creating a profile and connecting with patients through this platform?
SurgConnect allows surgeons to interact with a growing community of patients who wish to undergo surgery in Colombia, providing global visibility. Additionally, registration as a Surgeon or Patient is a free process.

7. How do I use the platform as a patient?
First step: The patient opens the web platform and registers to create a unique profile.
Second step: The patient selects the surgeon based on their preferences and city in Colombia, or they can choose a procedure to be performed and post an offer to be viewed by Colombian professionals.
Third step: If the patient selects a particular surgeon, they must click on the "Start chat" button to initiate a relationship, in order to discuss the procedure, clinic where the surgery might take place, fees, and/or schedule a video call through another platform, among other details concerning their visit to Colombia for the surgery.
If, on the other hand, the patient decided to post an offer, they must wait for it to be viewed by the surgeons, and they will contact the patient to clarify the details described above.
Note: The surgeon will be notified on their profile and via email about the message in the chat so they can continue the conversation.

8. How to use the platform if I'm a surgeon?
First step: The surgeon opens the platform, registers, attaches the required documents, and awaits the verification process to gain access to the website.
Second step: Once the documents are verified, the surgeon will have access to a large community of individuals, both national and international, interested in undergoing surgery within Colombian territory.
Third step: The surgeon can contact patients in two ways:
- Through the notification panel of patient offers - available on the surgeon's profile - where patients post the procedures they wish to undergo and the city. The relationship begins when the surgeon contacts the patient through the internal chat.
- When the patient finds the surgeon through our search engine. Here, the relationship begins when the patient contacts the surgeon through the internal chat.
Once the conversation begins in the internal chat, they can discuss the procedure, the clinic where the surgery might take place, fees, and/or schedule a video call through another platform, among other details concerning their visit to Colombia for the surgery.

9. If I have any questions, can I privately message the surgeon?
Yes. Go to the profile of the doctor you want to message and click on "Start chat". They will respond as soon as they can, and you will be notified in the icon of pending messages to be read.

10. Can I add friends on the website and how can I find other people?
You cannot add friends to your profile. Creating a group of friends is not the mission or vision of SurgConnect. This platform aims to connect patients with surgeons in Colombia.

11. As a patient, can I write rating comments about a surgeon's profile?
Yes, but your comment will be moderated by our collaborators before being published.

12. If I'm a patient, is there any messaging or chat function to communicate with other patients on the website to ask for suggestions or recommendations?
No, you can only read comments from surgeons on their profiles.

13. As a patient, can I share content on the website, such as posts, photos, or videos?
No. SurgConnect does not offer this option for Patient profiles. This platform is designed to connect patients with surgeons in Colombia.
Surgeon profiles do have this option to showcase their surgical results or advertise messages.

14. Can I customize my profile and add personal information, such as profile pictures, a biography, or interests?
You can do this during registration and, if desired, later by clicking on "Edit profile."

15. Can I modify my personal information, change my password, or delete my account if necessary?
Yes. Go to your profile, click on "Edit profile," and look for the option you want.

16. Is there an option to block or report users who exhibit inappropriate behavior on the website?

17. Are there any tools for additional security to protect my account, such as two-factor authentication?
